John Pankraz started the business that November with his wife Jackie’s pickup truck, and worked for a time out of his home.

During the early years, Elite’s sole focus was on new construction. Little by little, John started mixing in service work to help keep his employees busy and to account for the up’s and down’s in the construction cycle.

In September 2002, John and Jackie attended an industry trade association meeting to learn more about the residential service side of the business and, voila, a whole new business philosophy and model began to take shape.

Over time, Elite gradually phased out of the new construction business and cross-trained its employees to help them master all facets of home electrical services.

In late 2004, after helping the area – and ourselves! – recover from the ravages of Hurricanes Frances and Jean, Elite acquired and moved into its present 7,500 square foot building in Port St. Lucie.

Like always, we’re not resistant to change, we embrace it. Which is why, in 2009, we launched our Air Conditioning division offering ongoing service, expert repairs, and new system installation. With expansion has come our new company name: Elite Electric & Air.

Now we have an even greater opportunity to even to remain true to our passion: helping people like you enjoy a more comfortable secure standard of living.

What does the future hold? Ah, wouldn’t we all like the answer to that one!

In the meantime, Elite Electric & Air will continue to provide mandatory training for every member of our staff. We’ll constantly be looking for ways to improve in every facet of our operation. And each time you say “job well done,” we won’t take that as proof of our worth, but as further incentive to keep looking forward.

Oh, and a quick word about the “Elite” in our company name. Always remember that it is not about self-praise, but about the kind of elite service you can expect every day of the year, every hour of the day.
